# Piksel: Digital Signage for Modern Businesses

> Piksel is a cloud-based digital signage platform that lets you manage screens, media, playlists, and schedules from a single dashboard.

Piksel is a digital signage platform built for businesses that need to control what plays on their screens — without the complexity of traditional AV systems. You manage everything from the Piksel web dashboard: pair screens, upload media, build playlists, and set schedules. Your Apple TV displays receive updates in real time the moment you make a change.

## What Piksel does

Piksel gives you a complete toolkit for running digital signage at any scale. Whether you're managing one screen in a coffee shop or dozens across multiple retail branches, the same dashboard handles it all.

## Core capabilities

**Screens management** — The Screens page shows all paired displays in a grid or list view. Each screen card shows its current status, assigned playlist, location, and last heartbeat. You can rename a screen, adjust its rotation, and reassign its playlist without touching the device.

**Media library** — The Media Library page is a visual gallery of every image and video in your account. Upload files directly from the dashboard; Piksel stores them and makes the public URL available to your Apple TV players immediately.

**Playlist builder** — The Playlist Builder lets you add media items, drag them into the right order, and set how long each one plays. A default duration covers any item you leave unspecified.

**Schedules** — Schedules map a playlist to a display for a defined time window and set of days. When a schedule is active, the display switches to the scheduled playlist automatically; when the window closes, it returns to the base playlist.

**Smart rules** — Smart rules let weather conditions trigger playlist changes on a specific display. For example, you can show a rainy-day promotion whenever the weather at a screen's location turns to rain, then revert automatically when conditions clear.

**Branch management** — Branches let you group screens, media, and playlists by location or department. Filter the dashboard by branch to see only the resources that belong to a particular store or team.

**Team members** — Invite colleagues to your account and scope their access to specific branches, so each team member sees only the screens they manage.

## Who Piksel is for

Piksel is designed for marketers, operations managers, and IT teams at businesses that run physical displays — retail stores, restaurants, gyms, corporate lobbies, hotels, and anywhere else a screen communicates with an audience. If you need content on a screen to change on a schedule or respond to real-world conditions, Piksel handles that without requiring a dedicated AV engineer.
